Remove the lens (so you can see into the front of the body. Take an exposure while looking into the front of the camera. You should visually see the reflex mirror swing up (snap up -- because it happens very quickly) and the shutter (a series of overlaping "blades" - sort of like a set of blinds) should open and close.
Do not insert the blower tip inside the camera beyond the lens mount. If the power is turned off, the shutter will close and the shutter curtains or reflex mirror might get damaged. Never use canned air or gas to clean the sensor. The blowing force can damage the sensor or the spray gas can freeze on the sensor.
About all you can do is check the interlock is not set to on, on the SD cards. Probably a good idea to reset the camera too. Menus, tools, clear all settings and clear all custom settings. Its pretty difficult to damage the SD pins in a 6D Mk II or any SD camera for that matter but it can be done. BTW, a new SD card is always a good idea.
