Our Approved Ceed did not come with the tag, but there is a string of 5 or 7 digits in the warranty book (Key Code). HAve not contacted the dealer yet. In the end we gave up. The dealer admitted they had lost the key tag, but did give us the key code. I have to say that the buying experience of a Kia is not a great one. There's an antenna for the transponder receiver built into the key surround on the 9-5, it could have had a knock or be faulty. On the 9-5 if the transponder stops working and you get a key not accepted message then you can override it by pushing the unlock button on the key remote with the ignition turned to on and it should let you start the car.
