Initially, the X-Type was only available with all-wheel-drive and either a 2.5 litre or 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine. In 2002, an entry-level 2.1 litre V6 front-wheel-drive model was added. I also have experience of having a fully race tuned Civic Type-R with an £800 KPRO ECU daughter board fitted from Japan and tuned for 3 hours on a rolling road with custom timing and fuel tables, along with an AEM Cold Air Intake fitted in the front wheelarch, unsilenced B-pipe, 4-2-1 Race manifold and decat.
